If you are looking bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodations with a romantic lodge style and alternatives to adventure travel or outdoor activities,
Bella Coola offers a rich history dating back to pre-contact First Nation's settlement and recent North American and European settlements. The
local Nuxalk First Nations have a rich and vibrant history based on river and fish resources of the coastal area. Petroglyphs located near their
reservation tell of ancient peoples living in this region and are definitely worth a visit.
Visit the Bella Coola Museum to learn more of the past history of the region, including more recent settlement by Norwegian decedents in a
fiordland reminiscent of their homelands. Today you can visit the Sons of Norway Heritage House across the street from Brockton Place or the
Bella Coola Museum, in the town of Bella Coola, 16 km west of Hagensborg.
Other activities in the Valley include scenic flights with Bella Coola Air or West Coast Helicopters, fishing in the Bella Coola or Atnarko Rivers,
Sightseeing in the Valley, or visiting local artisan and crafts shops.
